The OPHA Disability Section is offering up to four conference scholarships to those who demonstrate involvement and commitment to disability justice, health, and/or advocacy. The scholarship covers registration and travel (as needed) to OPHA’s 80th Annual Conference and Meeting and includes a year of free OPHA membership. This year’s conference is October 7 and 8, in Corvallis, Oregon. Who Can Apply
To Apply To apply for a scholarship, please submit an application by September 20. The application includes a personal statement (up to 500 words) about experiences and interests related to disability and public health and requests information about why the applicant would like to attend the conference. Please include a current resume or curriculum vitae (CV). About OPHA The Oregon Public Health Association is a statewide membership association of more than 500 public health professionals. Our mission is to advocate for policies that protect and promote health and health equity for all people in Oregon, and provide learning, collaboration, and leadership opportunities for public health professionals and the broader community. What is the Disability Section? OPHA Special Interest Sections are like a coalition; members from different organizations come together to work towards a common goal. The Disability Section aims to raise awareness of health disparities experienced by people with disabilities and advocate for policies that promote inclusion and access to health for all individuals.
