Hatha Yoga

A hatha yoga session will be hosted by community health strategist/yoga instructor,  Bhagavati Mullock, on Tuesday, October 8 from 8-8:30 am in the Johnson Lounge in the Alumni Center. Bring your mat or use one provided. Hatha yoga is a slower paced form of yoga that aligns the  breath, body, and mind though breathing, yoga poses, and meditation.

Food for the Soul

Conferences are a long day, and good nutrition and delicious food make the experience enjoyable and give you the energy you need for listening, sharing, and networking. Here’s what awaits:

  • Each morning there will be fresh coffee and hot tea, along with Luna bars and whole fruit.

  • For lunch on Monday, head to the sunny outdoor walkway between Alumni and LaSells to pick up a healthy and delicious grain and salad bowl served with a dinner roll and butter. The bowls feature brown rice with quinoa, garbanzo beans, asparagus, roasted tomatoes, feta, and a chimichurri aioli, with options of roast chicken or tofu.
  • On Monday afternoon perk up your energy with a delicious bar, cookie, or brownie served outside the Poster Session. Yes, we used to go all out with a charcuterie! But many people reported still being full from lunch! We hope this special afternoon treat will satisfy you all.
  • Lunch on Tuesday will be served to you buffet style outside the Alumni Ballroom, where  can load up your plate and enjoy while participating in the Annual Business Meeting and Awards Luncheon. The savory menu features huli huli chicken, tofu coconut curry, stir fried seasonal vegetables, steamed jasmine rice, a mixed green salad, and dinner rolls.
  • Pitchers of cold and refreshing water will be available all day on both days, and lemonade and iced tea will be served along with both lunches and during the poster session.
  • Gluten-free, vegan, and allergy-free options are available according to preferences you shared while registering.
